We are your local Caravan & Camping hire specialists on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Our business grew out of our own lap of Australia in 2017. After living on the road for 10 months with our kids, we have hands on experience & can offer just what you need to make your camping or caravanning adventure an easy & enjoyable one. We really love what we do and being able to share a part of our experience with you is exciting for us too.

How much does it cost to hire a van?
Pricing depends on the RV you select, the travel dates (season) and if you require any extra products (e.g. BBQ etc) or services (drop-off/delivery). Pricing is charged per day, not per night.
How do you calculate delivery / set up fees?
Outback 2 Sea offers deliveries up to 500kms from our Sippy Downs depot. If you need something delivered further than this, please contact us.
- The cost is calculated at $2.00 per Km (with a $80 minimum)
- The delivery distance is calculated for drop off and collection. I.e. If the delivery destination is 100kms then the charge would be $400.
- The fee also includes set up and pack up of the van at your chosen destination.
- Delivery is subject to the availability of drivers.
What does the service fee cover?
- The Elecbrakes Bluetooth electric brake controller.
- Towing mirrors.
- Gas
- Cleaning & Amenities for the caravan
- Pre-hire & Post-hire clean
- Thorough hand-over
** The service fee DOES NOT cover things like emptying of the chemical toilet or a muddy / heavily soiled van. If you do not wish to do these tasks please select the correct option in the extras section – failure to do this will result in a cost to you ** ** The service fee is not negotiable **
Where are you located? Can we view your caravans?
We are located in Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Our Caravan can be viewed by appointment – just call us on 0419677780to arrange a viewing.
What is cleaning policy?
A standard clean IS INCLUDED in the service fee. All we ask is that you leave the van tidy with all dishes washed & rubbish thrown away. NB the toilet MUST be emptied (unless you have paid for this to be one for you.) ** If the caravan is heavily soiled there will be extra cleaning fees of $120.00 taken out of your bond ** We have included cleaning items for your convenience if needed – these include: *Dishwashing liquid *Multipurpose surface spray *Toilet wipes *Broom & mop *Clothes & Dish sponge *Tea Towels *Chemical Toilet sachets
What are the pick up and drop off times?
Our standard pick up times:
- Monday – Thursday = between 8am and 5pm.
- Friday = between 8am and 2pm (after 2pm by special appointment only)
- Saturday and Sunday – Closed (by special appointment only)
Our standard drop-off times:
- Monday – Thursday = between 8am and 5pm
- Friday = between 8am and 2pm (after 2pm by special appointment only)
- Saturday = Closed (by special appointment only)
- Sunday = drop off after 4pm – earlier drop-off can be arranged if needed
– If you have a concerns with these times – please talk to us, we will be as flexible as possible
Are pets allowed?
Yes we do allow pets. These rules must be followed:
- no pets on the furniture or beds
- no large dogs in the caravans – please keep them outside.
- any damage or pet hair will incur an extra charge that will be taken off your bond.
What extras do you offer?
- Weber babyQ with BBQARM – $50 per hire
- Full Linen Service – $95 per hire
- MaxTraxx for off road / beach hires – $50 per hire
- Empty the toilet for me – $120 per hire
- Outback or beach trip clean – excluding toilet – $250 per hire
Do I need an Electric brake controller
You do not need an Electric Brake Controller to be installed in you car – we supply this as part of your hire:
- Electric Brake Controller & Towing Mirrors are included with every hire.
- The van comes with a 7 pin round plug – we have adapters to suite all Australian standard plugs
- The Electric Brake Controller we use is called Elecbrakes & runs via a free app on your phone. This can be controlled with your phone or with a remote. If your vehicle already has a brake controller fitted, then ours can just be disconnected & you can use yours. Instruction on the operation of the Elecbrake will be given to you at the handover.
